Meet other local dive bar enthusiasts and find the best (and worst) Chicago dive bars. The idea behind this group is to seek out some of the most old-school, divey establishments with friendly folks who enjoy a cheap drink or two. We'll be visiting a range of dives in various neighborhoods based on recommendations and infamous reputations.

We've had a modernist fiction book club going since May 2011, with a lot of good discussions, and could use a couple more regulars. In the past, we've read novels by Joyce, Malraux, Kafka, Wright, Mishima, Faulkner, Nabokov, Unamuno, Ellison, Hamsun, Woolf, Biely, and Gide.
